The term "human givens" represents a set of ideas that provide a clear explanation of human behaviour and what it means to be psychologically well. The ideas are contributing to a new paradigm in psychology, one that explains for the first time why humans dream; how the brain processes information; how inactive medications can make people feel better; and, with a truly biopsychosocial model of psychotherapy, show how people can be effectively and quickly set free from depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, and addictions.

New research supports HG practice!
The HG approach is informed by National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (UK) guidelines and the evidence upon which they are based ... the approach is a bona fide treatment that significantly contributes to assisting service users in primary care to move towards recovery.
